Serving Generations of Heroes

Who We Are

American Legion Post 911 was founded by returning Iraq and Afghanistan veterans on September 11th 2007 creating the countries first OEF/OIF centric American Legion post. Legion Post 911 was born out of a necessity to meet the specific needs and challenges of the current era of returning veterans.

Core Mission

The mission is simple; to focus on Medical, Educational, and Vocational needs of veterans while engaging in Social Activities, and Veterans Advocacy.

Post 911 does not duplicate what other veterans agencies are mandated to do. The mission is to enhance your ability to maximize your earned benefits through contact with subject matter experts, the business community and other veterans. Veteran’s advocacy is the responsibility of every veteran. We must labor daily to policy makers at all levels that they must remain focused and committed to the fair and equitable treatment of Veterans and our families, regardless of political affiliations or current public sentiments.
